History of a car enthusiast
Nearly 20 years ago, car enthusiast Charly B. began collecting cars from the Lancia marque. To buy the Lancia Fulvia Zagato he wanted so badly, the seller required him to also buy the remaining Lancias — all Betas — along with a few boxes of parts. In one stroke, the collection grew to 8 cars, most of which still needed restoration.
The passion for Lancias quickly grew, and more Fulvias followed. Naturally, the goal became to have at least one of every version in the collection. Over time that goal was achieved, and the search along the way brought Charly into contact with other collectors and sellers. As you might expect, the collection now spans virtually every version of every Lancia type, from Astura, Aprilia, Appia, Fulvia, Flavia, Flaminia and Beta through to Deltas and even a Ypsilon.
The collection has also grown to include other marques that fit well based on their collector potential, design, engineering or exclusivity: among others Audi, Jaguar, Opel, Renault, Talbot-Matra, Triumph, Volvo and Westfield. The most recent development is the expansion into race cars. Alongside a track-day Peugeot 206 GTI, the collection now includes two Italian Taraschi race cars from the late 1950s with tuned Fiat 1100 engines, and a 1980 Abarth Formula 2000.
The Carlusso Automotion Group
To give this passion a home as a car specialist in Kaatsheuvel, the Carlusso Automotion Group was founded, comprising three companies:
- Sales: Carlusso Sportivo BV
- Workshop / classic car garage: DeGraaf Lancia Delta BV
- Parts webshop: Carlusso Classic Parts BV
The companies have concentrated their activities on Bevrijdingsweg in Kaatsheuvel. With a small, young team of enthusiastic staff, we work to keep the passion for classic cars alive and on the road.
The Carlusso Classic Collection features sporting, well-built, special and even rare (semi-)classic cars for the collector and the passionate driver. There are also various Lancia project cars available for the experienced or ambitious enthusiast. Visit our showroom in Kaatsheuvel, by appointment.
